Obituary

Gary Bierle, 80, of Mitchell, SD, died August 11, 2019 at his home in Mitchell.

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Saturday, August 17, 2019, at Zion Lutheran Church in Mitchell. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery in Mitchell. Visitation will be form 5-7:00 PM at Bittner Funeral Chapel in Mitchell.

Gary Lee Bierle was born on July 27, 1939 in Yankton, SD to Oscar and Lucille (Skorepa) Bierle. He married Judith Fideler on April 10, 1976.He graduated from Washington High School in Sioux Falls in 1957. Gary enlisted in the US Army for three years, then the US Air Force for four years. He worked for Dakota Ready Mix and Trail King. He then worked at the Moon Light Bar for many years. Most recently he was employed at Thirsty’s until the time of his death.

Gary enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brothers and friends, and eating kolaches from his sister-in-law, Geraldine, and friend Karen Prickett.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Judy Bierle, Mitchell; brothers, Gene (Judy) and Keith (Nancy) Bierle and sister, Karen Wilson, all of Sioux Falls; and many nieces and nephews.

Gary was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and three sisters.

Gary was one of a kind. He is the only recipient of Best Bartender Ever. He will be missed. My family's prayers go to Gary's family.

Will miss that Gary. Remember giving him a bad time about how much he carried from the store room to the bar at Thirstys back when we shot darts. Gonna miss him. Prayers Judy.
