Obituary

Keith Loes, 68, of Mitchell, SD, died Monday, September 30, 2019 at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital in Mitchell.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Saturday, October 5, 2019 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mitchell with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Mitchell. Arrangements are by Bittner Funeral Chapel.

Keith Michael Loes was born on January 8, 1951 to Raphael and Cecelia (Wethor) Loes in Emery, SD. Keith graduated eighth grade from St. Martin Catholic School in Emery and attended Emery High School. In 1968, he moved to Mitchell with his family.

Keith was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and was an usher for many years. He enjoyed playing pool, reading, watching TV, and driving his car. Keith had been a resident of Firesteel Healthcare Center since December 27, 2007.

He is survived by his brother, Larry (Joni) Loes of Mitchell; two sisters, JoAnn (Jim) Heck of Parkston, and Mary (Dave) Butterwick of Des Moines, IA; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

I am so sorry to hear the news of Keith's passing. Keith worked for me for many years at Syncom. He was a hard worker, had a quick wit and many friends. My thoughts and prayers go out to Keith's family.

Keith was a veto good man. I recall playing in the sandbox with him and then eating his moms choculate coconut cookies. RIP Keith. Condolences to the family.
