Posted by Ronda (Decker) Haak on April 24, 2014 tragic that you are gone so young with so much life left in you! I remember meeting you and Travis when Rick married your mom....we loved you both instantly, and so did Mom & Dad. I remember what a good drawer you were at such a young age. I am thankful to have been able to see you and visit with you and hug you and tell you I love you before you moved to Georgia. Everyone's entries describe you so well, vibrant, so likeable/loveable and that SMILE that would light up a room! Rest in Peace...You left unforgettable memories here on Earth! Rest in Peace - young Nephew! Love you!

I left South Dakota when Troy was much younger however even then it was true of how his style of smiling w one eye slightly closed more , it just made you smile back at him even bigger. He spas always very kind & giving. I'm saddened that this has happened. I want to make sure I let you all know that I LOVE you & have fond memories of the "boys"....(Travis & Troy + all the Bender boy cousins) @ the Farm. I'm certain if my mom (Sis) was here she'd be making her 10 lb cookie for each of you so she could just see us all in the same room together. She loved you all like you were her own. I wish I could be there with you Ronda & Rick , Travis, Auntie Darla , Timmy & Dana. I'm very sorry for such a loss. Please exchange warm hugs to each other from myself & my family. Love you all!

Troy will be greatly missed by all of his friends in Atlanta. I cannot begin to imagine the sadness his family is going through and I offer them my deepest condolences during this very difficult time. Troy always had a smile on his face and a funny story in his pocket which made long projects at work a little more bearable. He was a genuinely good guy who I will never forget. Rest in peace my friend.
