Henrietta Grace Bormann was born December 29, 1939, near Joubert, SD to Earl and Tillie (Kiep) VandenHoek. She was baptized and made her profession of faith in the Harrison Reformed Church in Harrison. She attended country school in Douglas County and graduated from Corsica High School in 1957. Following high school she was employed by the REA Office in Armour. On October 14, 1959 she married Delton Bormann. Together they farmed near Stickney. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, where she had been active in the Women’s Circle. She enjoyed listening to gospel and country music. In her younger years she enjoyed singing and chording on the piano. Henrietta treasured the time spent with her family and friends.
Henrietta is survived by her two children: Connie Deinert, Sioux Falls; Delton Randall “Randy” (Debra) Bormann, Stickney; four grandchildren: Abby (Doyle) Burnside, Alex Bormann, Adam Bormann and Austin Bormann, one sister, Sharon (Lyle) Crago Jr., Rochester, MN, one brother, Darrell (Londa) VandenHoek, Corsica and numerous nieces and nephews .
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delton, her parents, one brother, Rodney and one sister, Doris Dykstra.
