Leota Ann Roth


May 31, 1934 - April 11, 2015



Leota Ann Roth was born on May 31, 1934 at Mitchell, SD to Clarence and Grace (Ryan) Sievert.  She lived a short time at Loomis, SD before the family moved to Mitchell.

On September 17, 1955 she married Darrell Roth of Fulton.  They moved to Anchorage, Alaska until her husband was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army.  They farmed in McCook and Hanson Counties for thirty-seven years.  In 1977, Leota started her craft business and her husband joined her after his retirement.  They traveled several states and Canada. She was a Farmers Union District II Education Director, a 4-H leader when the kids were young and a member of Holy Family Catholic Church.

Grateful for sharing her life are her husband, Darrell for fifty-nine years; children: Doug (Dawn) Roth, Mt. Vernon, Deb (Doug) Pollreisz, Mitchell, Denise (Jon) Arend, Chandler, AZ; and brother, Dan Sievert, Nevada; thirteen grandchildren,Eric (Deb), Jeremy (Christin), Aaron (Erin) and Adam Roth, Matt (Leah) and Ashton Pollreisz, Andrea, Ben and Courtney Arend, Shelby, Kelsee, Alex and Andrew Hartman and eleven great- grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Doug, Deb, Denise and Darrell, I am so very sorry to hear of Leota's passing. I pray that God will send comfort to you all, during this difficult time, and always. May she rest in peace, in the loving arms of Jesus

Deb and Denise. I am so sorry to read of your mom's passing. I am visiting family in Texas this week but if it were possible, I would have attended her services. Once again, I am sorry for your loss. I will say a prayer for you both this evening that you may find comfort.
