I want to express my sincerest sympathy to the Buckley family because of losing Alan in death way too soon. When our loved ones fall asleep in death, the pain and grief seems unbearable. Our loving God Jehovah (Psalm 83:18) understands how we feel and he comforts us by means of his word the Bible. Psalm 34: 18 tells us: "Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit." Jehovah invites you to throw all your burdens on him and he will sustain you in your time of grief. None of us are guaranteed tomorrow, but we are all guaranteed a resurrection. (John 5:28, John 6:40 and John 11:25) Also, Titus 1: 2 tells us this promise of a resurrection: "is based on a hope of the everlasting life that God, who cannot lie, promised long ago." Isaiah 26:19 "Your dead will live......And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." Isaiah 25:8 "He will swallow up death forever. For Jehovah himself has spoken it." Again, the family is in my prayers and I offer my heartfelt condolences. Feel free to contact me if you wish at my email address;

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. We will so miss Alan this spring in track and bowling in the fall. He was a joy to work with and take to Special Olympic events. He had lots of stories to tell especially about his friends and school days. I love the note above from his teacher. I told him once I felt sorry for his teacher for the things he and Rick pulled. God bless you all and may Alan Rest In Peace.

On behalf of my husband and me, I am writing to express our sincere sympathy to all of Alan's family and friends. Alan was in my class during my first years of teaching at Longfellow Elementary School and Mitchell Junior High. I have many wonderful memories of him and still have a Christmas tree decoration with his picture that he gave me so many years ago. One of my fondest memories is when Alan and his classmates attended our wedding in Tripp, SD. My entire class sat right behind my Mom and Dad on our special day. It is wonderful to see his picture. The cute boy I remember became a very handsome man! We are currently living in Colorado Springs and are near our three children, their spouses, and 6 grandchildren. I retired a few years ago after 42 years of teaching at all levels of education (preschool through college). It all began with beautiful students like Alan!.God Bless!
