Theodore (Ted) Oswald Reimnitz


July 21, 1955 - January 30, 2017


Theodore Oswald Reimnitz was born July 21, 1955 at St. Benedict Hospital in Parkston to Bernard and Agnes (Geidel) Reimnitz. He grew up attending Baker Country School and graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1973. On June 5, 1976 he married Patricia Joan Tietz at Immanuel Lutheran Church at rural Dimock. Ted was employed by Mueller Lumber for 28 years and then in 2001 he started Reimnitz-Schilling Construction, later Reimnitz Construction where he worked until 2016. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and then Zion Lutheran Church in Mitchell.

He is survived by his mother, Agnes Reimnitz of Mitchell; wife, Patricia; one son, Michael (Kristina) Reimnitz of Mitchell and one daughter, Shannon (Nick) Bartscher of Mitchell; two sisters: Marjean (Randy) Rogers of Colorado Springs, CO, Jane (Jay) Kinney, Chandler, AZ; one brother, Ron (Diane) Reimnitz of Mount Vernon; six grandchildren: Austin, Dylan, William, Porter, Mason and Brenton; three step-grandchildren: Christopher, Noah and Allyssa; mother-in law, Helen Tietz of Mitchell; sister-in-law, Marcella (Leonard) Pollreisz of Mitchell and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bernard; brother-in-law, Bob Vetter and father-in-law, William Tietz.
