Diane Bryant, 43, of Alexandria, SD died March 2, 2018 as the result of an automobile accident. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mitchell. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Mitchell. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 PM Tuesday at the church with a 7:00 PM scripture and rosary service. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Bittner Funeral Chapel.
Diane Lynn Bryant was born July 16, 1974 in Mitchell to Cyril and Joan (Leitheiser) Haag. She was the twelfth of fourteen children; having 6 brothers and 7 sisters. Diane was raised on a dairy farm near Fulton and milking cows was one of her favorite hobbies. She graduated from Hanson High school in 1993.
In 1993, Diane gave birth to her first son; Tyson. Five years later, she had her second son; Trent. On February 14, 2009 she married David Bryant; and added a daughter to the family, Ashlynn. The family settled down in Alexandria, SD.
Diane's hobbies included reading books, watching movies, and spending time with her family. Diane was very friendly and always left smiles on everyone she met. In her free time you would find Diane at Hanson Lake or babysitting kids.
Diane enjoyed growing up on a dairy farm which led to a job with Blaise Dairy for two years. She then continued helping out on the family dairy for one year. Shortly after, she started a 12 year career at Westown Gas Station in Alexandria. In the last couple of years, she enjoyed working as a Direct Support Professional for LifeQuest in Mitchell.
Diane is survived by her parents, Cyril and Joann (Leitheiser) Haag of Fulton; her husband, David Bryant; her children: Tyson, Trent and Ashlynn; her siblings: Michael (Carolyn) Haag of Fulton, Linda (Dennis) Wilkins of Illinois, Janet (Lenny) Kampshoff of Fulton, Barbara (Dave) Schulte of Mitchell, Michelle (Kevin) Buehner of Brandon, Kevin (Tracy) Haag of Mitchell, Karen (Dwight) Nedved of Twin Brooks, Gary (Amy) Haag of Fulton, Denise Hughes of Mitchell, Danny (Nicole) Haag of Montrose, Susan (Chad) Holswoth of Bowdle, Terry Haag of Fulton and Chad (Sherry) Haag of Alexandria and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Diane was preceded in death by Dave's parents, Larry and Brenda Bryant; her grandparents, Casper and Viola Leitheiser and Joe and Rose Haag; and many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
