Obituary

Virginia (Ginny) Magnuson, 71, of Mitchell died Monday, December 3, 2018 at Dougherty House in Sioux Falls. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, December 7, at the Bittner Funeral Chapel in Mitchell. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Virginia Magnuson was born July 23, 1947 to Walt and Othelia (Berreth) Miller at Mitchell, SD. She grew up in Mitchell and attended school in Mitchell. On June 27, 2003 she married Anthony Magnuson. Virginia worked at Prairie Crossing for fifteen years and a number of years at Firesteel Health Care in Mitchell. She had a passion for taking care of and helping the elderly. She loved her cats and dogs.

She is survived by he husband, Anthony; daughter, Dawn (Hoon) Baik of Louisville, KY; three step children, Samantha Magnuson, Mitchell, Josh (Jamie) Magnuson, Sioux Falls, Dale (Crystal) Magnuson, Sioux Falls; two grandchildren; nine step grandchildren; two brothers, Doug (Charlene) Miller, Deadwood, Charlie (Bonnie) Miller, Fort Dodge, IA; one sister, Patricia (Larry) Suchy; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dale (Shirley) Magnuson, Mitchell.

She was preceded in death by her parents and infant child.

I worked with Ginny ages ago but I think of her every now and again. So sorry to hear of her passing. She was one of a kind.
