Rosemary Wisner, 86, of Mitchell, SD, died Sunday, May 31, 2020 at Avera Brady Health and Rehab in Mitchell. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday, June 5, 2020 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Mitchell. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at Holy Family. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Mitchell. Arrangements by Bittner Funeral Chapel.

Rosemary Ann Wisner was born at St. Joseph Hospital in Mitchell, SD on November 9, 1933 to Pearle “Bud” and Vada (Hoffer) Church.

She attended and graduated from Notre Dame School in Mitchell. Following high school, she pursued her passion of dancing. Rosemary self-taught, gave lessons, and choreographed musicals.

In 1957 she married Joseph P. Wisner Jr. Together they owned the Bait Shop in Mitchell. Rosemary also did typesetting for McCleod’s and Quality Printing in Mitchell.

Her children, David, Marilee, and Rosalie (Bell) Wisner have many happy memories of their wonderful, caring mother, and will deeply miss her.

Rosemary is survived by her three children; grandchildren, Heather (Sam) Butterfield, Peter, and Stephen Bell; and great-granddaughter, Ella Butterfield.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Jr.; grandchild, Kathleen Miller Bell; and her parents.

Oh No! I'm so sorry about your mom. I knew her for a long time; her and her mother. They were some of the most intelligent people I've ever met. I'll remember her fondly.
