Bob, Duane and families,

You have my sympathy. Although sad news about his death, it is good to hear about the Clark family again. Gosh, after all Gene went through with polio, he really found his place at John Deere. My husband has many relatives around the Quad Cities and several of them spent their careers there. Gene always had a smile on his face! I remember the stories that the Schneider boys would tell about taking him places, Your family were such good neighbors. I'll always remember all of you! My family has lived ini St Cloud for 48 years since I came here to teach in 69. I haven't visited SD for 9 months because of Covid and I really miss the Hills! I hope you are all doing well. Rest in peace, Gene, and I hope you're havingi fun with your folks, Carol and Gdma Burns! Love, Frances

I never knew Geno to say an unkind or harsh word to or about anyone. Those of us lucky enough to call him our friend were truly blessed.
