October 18, 1987 - February 21, 2021


Chad Fenske, 33, of Mitchell, SD, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021 in Mitchell. A funeral service will be 10:30 AM Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Mitchell Wesleyan Church in Mitchell. Burial will be at Mt. Vernon Cemetery in Mt. Vernon, SD. Visitation will be from 5-7:00 PM Wednesday at Bittner Funeral Chapel with a 6:30 PM prayer service. Arrangements by Bittner Funeral Chapel.

Chad Aaron Fenske was born October 18, 1987 to Paul and Susan (Larimer) Fenske in Mitchell, SD. Chad grew up in Mitchell and graduated from Mitchell High School in 2006. He worked for Palace Builders for many years.

Chad was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and anything that involved being outdoors. Above all, he loved spending time with his daughter, family, friends, and his dogs. Chad took great pride in watching his daughter, nieces, and nephews grow up.

Chad walked home with his Savior on February 21, 2021 and will be dearly missed. He was loved by everybody. 

Chad is survived by Nicole Fenske; his daughter, Tenlee Fenske; parents, Paul and Susan; sisters, Robin (Aaron) Wulf of Monticello, MN and Kayla (Bob) Mentele of Fulton, SD; nieces and nephews, Macie and Tanner Wulf, Colby, Addy, and Brody Mentele.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Marie Larimer, Arnold Von Eye, Ervin and Cleone Fenske, and Neda Fenske; and dogs, Smoky and Baby.

He was the best friend you’d hope and dream for. He welcomed me into his life as I met his best friend Josh. He loved my daughter like his own and was always there for me when I needed him. You can’t replace someone like Chad. He will be so dearly missed by us and I know he will guide us and be beside us when we need. We love you Chadwick(my nickname for him). Watch over us buddy. You meant the world to us.

May God wrap His arms around you all! My heart aches for you all! I didn’t know Chad very well but witnessed his love to his family and the fun he would have with them! May you cherish the memories you’ve made with him and may it give you some comfort knowing Jesus died at 33 as well as Chad being called home at age 33! Hugs and prayers to you all!!!!
