On December 28, 2020 we lost a son, a brother, a stepfather, and uncle, and a good friend. Randall Lee Stunes was born July 23, 1953 to Millard (Art) and Florentine Stunes in Mount Vervon, South Dakota. Randy grew up in the country and attended rural schools.
After graduation from Mitchell High School, Randy moved to Colorado and worked with his brother Dennis as a pipefitter. He learned his trade well and was a journeyman fitter traveling from the east coast to as far west as Johnston Atoll in the Pacific Ocean. He loved his work.
He moved from Westminster, Colorado to a mountain cabin if Red Feather Lakes, Colorado in 2004. Upon retiring in 2016, Rand spent time working on and improving his cabin, reading, and pursuing the wary rainbow trout in the surrounding lakes.
Randy is survived by his father, Art of South Dakota; brothers, Donald of Montana, David (Vickie) and Gary both of South Dakota; and stepchildren, Jeffrey (Tracy) Salisbury of Texas, Justine (Glen) Wilson and Steven (Lisa) Brown of Colorado.
Randy was preceded in death by his mother; brothers, Dennis (1976) and Rocky (1955).
