Charlie and I lived less than a block apart in Wagner. He and his family were cousins and we shared games. laughter and tears. We cousins were all poor, but we entertained ourselves with real ingenuity. At evenings we played games in the empty lot of the Lutheran Church just across the street from his home. I often visited Charlie and Evelyn when they lived in Rapid City. I offer my prayers of thanksgiving for his good life, well lived, for his daughter and grandchildren and that he and Evelyn are together with his father, Aunt Ella, Dick, Lorraine and Wayne. May he go from strength to strength in the life of perfect service in God's heavenly kingdom.
