Dear Mervella, Greg, Brian, and extended family members, Judy and I have many and varied memories of Les. We were able to work together at United Auto Parts, to worship together at Mitchell Wesleyan, and to walk thru some difficult days together as tragedy and loss struck. In it all, God has wonderfully sustained you and given peace. We wish we could be with you on Thursday but distance and schedules will not allow. We will cherish his loud and boisterous laughs as well as his tenderness towards those he loved and cared about. May God richly bless you in these days.

My condolences in your loss of a good friend to my family. My dad was one of his customers for many many years, and always enjoyed his visits with Les. I got to know Les much later when I served as Fire Chief and he welcomed me as if I was an old friend. Thank you for sharing him with us all.

Mer, Greg, Brian, and families,

I was sad to hear Les passed away. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I have many great memories of all the times our families spent together when we visited from Indiana, especially the hayrides at Uncle Marley's farm. Mom and Dad always treasured your family's friendship.

Dear Mervela,
We have just learned of your loss of Les. His obituary shows that he lived a full and generous life. We especially enjoyed visiting with you both in your home in 2005, when we were on our way to Hill City for the school reunion. We also learned then of his strong ties to the Black Hills. May you find the strength and faith to move beyond the darkness of the present. All our love to you,
Dave and Lucy
