Ila Vyonne Kulm was born August 9, 1952, at Yankton, SD, to Melvin and Valere (Schrag) Preheim. She grew up and attended schools in Freeman and Mitchell. On June 5, 1971, she married Rodger A. Kulm in Mitchell. She was a nurse’s aid at Brady Memorial Home in Mitchell and co-owned Kulm Trucking in Mitchell. She later was a bus driver for Palace Transit. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church and had been a member of the Women of the Moose. Her lifelong love was her family, husband, children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Rodger, two sons, Bryan (Jennifer) Kulm of Annandale, MN, Carl (Leasa) Kulm of Pipestone, MN, four grandchildren, Parker and Jillian Kulm of Annandale, MN, and Caden and Brielle Kulm of Pipestone, MN, her mother, Valere Wieger of Mitchell, her mother-in-law, Loraine House of Bismarck, ND, one sister Eileen Preheim (Neil Peterson) of Tea, SD, three sisters-in-law: Tena Preheim of Freeman, SD; Kathy Siedel of Bismarck, ND; Kim (Terry) Sjomeling of Pollack, SD; two brothers-in-law, Ralph (Pat) Kulm of Selby, SD; Mike House of Bismarck, ND and her miniature pincher, Sassy.
She was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Preheim, two brothers, Orel Preheim and Ivan Preheim, her aunt and uncle, Sy and Verlyn Waltner, her grandparents, her father-in-law, Alvin Kulm and step father-in-law, Jim House.
