Obituary

Trey Lunder, 33, of Vermillion, SD, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2024, at Sanford Vermillion Medical Center. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM on Thursday, February 15, at Bittner Funeral Chapel with a visitation one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will be at Presho Cemetery in Presho, SD.

Trey Michael Lunder was born on April 21, 1990, to Ron and Deb (Brevik) Lunder in Mitchell, SD. Trey attended Mitchell High School.

Trey had a passion for cooking and worked as a chef in various restaurants throughout South Dakota and Arizona. Most recently, he was employed by Dakota Brick House in Vermillion, SD. Trey loved music and attending concerts with his friends. In his spare time, Trey loved to draw and had incredible artistic ability.

Trey is survived by his parents, Ron Lunder (Danita Whitmer) and Deb Lunder; sisters, Nonie Kuyper and Dara Milekovich (Ky and Kali); stepsons, Malaki, Mason, and Marshall Sudbeck; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ralph and Nonie Lunder and George and Margaret Brevik, and brother-in-law, Doug Kuyper.

Trey was always kind to me, even when I screwed up and made his job more difficult. He was easy to laugh, and often made others laugh. Rock on brother! I will miss you...

I'm so sorry for this loss. Despite our differences Trey was a great man. He was a great father to all my kids. They love him with all their hearts. He will be missed and in our hearts

Ron Lunder and Deb Lunder, Nonie, Dara and all Trey’s loved ones - I am sorry for your loss. Deb and Ron - children should not leave this earth before their parents. I cannot image your pain but I pray for strength and peace.
