Carol Phinney, 83, of Appleton, WI, formerly of Mitchell, SD, passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2026, in Appleton, WI. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Monday, February 23, at First United Methodist Church in Mitchell, with visitation starting at 9:30 AM until the time of the service. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery in Mitchell. Arrangements by Bittner Funeral Chapel.

To the Phinney family,
The smile and laughter I can hear from Heaven. She was so good to my Mother-in-law. I can hear them both. She always picked Mom up to go to work at McCleods. I don’t know how many times the had snow ventures. So sorry for your loss, she will live in all of your hearts and memories forever.
