Obituary

Cindy Nisbet, 66, of Kilgore, TX, formerly of Mitchell, SD, died Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Willow Nursing Home in Kilgore. A Celebration of Life will be from 12-4:00 PM Sunday, March 20 at the VFW upstairs conference room in Mitchell. Arrangements by Bittner Funeral Chapel.

Cindy Lynn Nisbet was born on May 4, 1955, to Bob and Dorothy Nisbet in Mitchell, SD. Cindy attended Mitchell Senior High. She worked as a waitress and cook at Happy Chef, Fanny Horners, and Betty's Cafe before moving to Texas. Cindy always had a passion for meeting new people. Cindy had moved to Texas to be closer to some of her nieces and nephews.

Cindy would grow her hair out as long as possible, and then cut it short to donate to Locks of Love. It's hard to find a person Cindy met, that didn't like her.

Cindy is survived by her son, Chris (Grace) Nisbet; four grandchildren and one great-grandson; sisters, Betty Wahl of Lodi, CA and Diane Grindheim of Mitchell; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Bonnie (Walt) Price and Francis (David) Pirtle, and Charlotte Forman; and brothers, Bob, Kenny, Dennis, and baby brother, Billy Joe.
