At a dance, she met the love of her life, Englebert John Puetz, and they were married on September 14, 1954, at Saints Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Dimock, SD. They were blessed with 14-children. Her love for music and dancing strengthened the bond throughout their married life of 62 years, which was passed on to all her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, canning, sewing, singing, dancing, puzzles and crafts. Mom truly enjoyed traveling, as it brought her tremendous relaxation reconnecting with nature. She was a very loving and extremely dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother.
She played an active role in the caring of her entire family. She had an unending love and nurtured her children and grandchildren as she guided them throughout their lives. She was a woman with an extremely strong faith. We will always remember her contagious smile and infectious humor that has left a lasting impression on all who knew or ever met her.
She had a love for learning and the desire to instill learning in others. She was a strong advocate for others that needed a voice and guidance throughout her involvement in community service. She lived a block over from us.
I worked with her at Syncom, too.
Yes Bert and Delores are dancing in heaven.
Her kind and loving smile and compassionate and generous heart will be greatly missed. She will live in our hearts forever.
