Georgia Ann (Mauszycki) Livesay was born September 19, 1950, in Mitchell, SD to George and Eileen (Lowrey) Mauszycki. She grew up in Mitchell and graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1968. She attended and graduated from Presentation College in Aberdeen, SD in 1970. Georgia always maintained a strong sense of faith in God. Georgia brought a certain zest to life to all that knew her. She had several hobbies including swimming and going to the movies. The water would bring Georgia a sense of calmness and she would never miss a Friday night at the movie theater if she could. Georgia was a bright shining light in many people's lives. She would do anything for friends and family, and she simply loved her husband, children, and grandchildren with all of her heart. She will be missed by many and forgotten by few.

Georgia married Donald D. Livesay, Sr of Mitchell October 24, 1970. They moved to Pierre, and both took government jobs until 1977 when they moved back to Mitchell where they owned and operated several different businesses together throughout the years.

Together they had three children: son, Donald Livesay, Jr and girlfriend Nancy of Mitchell, SD, and two daughters, Gretchen Petersen and husband Ryan of Sioux Falls, SD, and Jessica Winterboer and husband Andrew of Watertown, SD.

Georgia is survived by her children and five grandchildren. Gretchen and Ryan’s daughters: Addison, Kinley, and Maddyn. Jessica and Andrew’s children: Porter and Adelyn. She is also survived by one brother, Chuck Sr. and wife Chris Mauszycki of Mitchell, SD, and her beloved pet companion, Lucy.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, mother and father-in-law, brothers, nephew, and cousins.

She talked about and loved her family so much near and far. She will be missed . If only the world had more Georgia’s in it , what a better place it would be. Sending my deepest condolences to all of her family.
