Obituary

Geraldine McManus, 76, of Mitchell, SD, passed away peacefully Sunday, February 20, 2022, at her home under hospice care in Mitchell. Graveside services will be 1:30 PM Friday, April 8, 2022, at Graceland Cemetery.

Geraldine Delle McManus was born on August 26, 1945, to Paul and Martha McManus in Mitchell, SD. Geri grew up in Alexandria, SD with her five siblings.

Geri met Floyd Harker and married in Colorado Springs. Together they had one daughter, Shoan.

Geri spent time traveling before settling in Mitchell, and did jobs such as waitressing and housekeeping. She enjoyed music, reading, sewing, shopping, and crossword puzzles. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

Geri is survived by her daughter, Shoan (Tony) Stunes; grandchildren, Tallon (Marlina) and Panteara Stunes; five great-grandchildren; sister, Denise; brother, Allen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Louetta, Joann, and Robert.

She would walk over to Meadow lawn to have lunch with her.
