Obituary

Joseph "JoJo" Phillips, 35, of Mitchell, SD, died Wednesday, December 7, 2022, in Mitchell. A Celebration of Life will be 2:00 PM Sunday, December 18, at Sneakers Bar in Mitchell. Arrangements by Bittner Funeral Chapel.

Joseph Phillips was born January 9, 1987, to William Geri and Stephnie Phillips in California.

JoJo absolutely loved his fur babies, Sven and Saphira. He enjoyed doing anything and everything with his friends including riding motorcycle and going on road trips. He made it a goal to keep every camping, tubing, and kayaking trip stressful, interesting, and fun. He loved spending time with his son and playing with his dogs. JoJo loved watching the Tampa Bay Buccs beat the New Orleans Saints and crappy IPAs. JoJo lit up the room when he walked in and made it known he was there, always leaving an impression on everyone he met. Jojo was there for you no matter what even if he was going through something himself - “There ya go buddy, you got this.” You never just became friends with JoJo, he picked you, then you were his best friend no matter what. JoJo just loved life in general, but above all else, JoJo loved his son William Geri Phillips.

“JoJo was my brother that lived life to the fullest with a full heart. He was a beating part of my heart. JoJo was a ride or die no question asked. He was my brother and I love him.” - Ian

If tears could build a stairway and memories a laney, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again
