Leonard Nightingale, 82, of White Lake, SD, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Firesteel Healthcare Center in Mitchell. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Friday, March 27, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in White Lake. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral mass.

Leonard William Nightingale was born December 24, 1943, to George and Minnie (Holzhauser) Nightingale in White Lake, SD.

Leonard grew up and farmed all his life with his brother in White Lake. Leonard also enjoyed hunting.

Leonard is survived by his siblings: Delbert Nightingale, Marie Johnson, Doris Schanebel, Erwin Nightingale, and Deloris (Ron) Kelly.

He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Minnie Nightingale, Devonna Nightingale, Charles Hoffman, Jerome Hoffman, Claire Johnson, Madonna Nightingale, and Robert Schnable.
